Fly-in Safaris Lodge Safaris

Three days only works for Bwindi if you fly. The road from Entebbe is eight to ten hours; this itinerary uses the scheduled hop to Kihihi or Kisoro instead. You still sleep on the forest edge the night before the trek. You still do not track on arrival day. Super Luxury arranges the lodge — camping through high-end — once UWA has placed you in a sector.

This sits beside our Tanzania and Kenya work because Uganda is one of the four countries we operate. The Arusha office remains your contact. The gorilla permit and the domestic flights are each their own line on the quote.

Day 1: Entebbe to Kihihi to Bwindi

You do not spend this day on the Mbarara road. After Entebbe collection we put you on the scheduled domestic flight to Kihihi or Kisoro — whichever airstrip matches the gorilla sector on your permit. A short road remains after you land. You sleep on the forest edge. You still do not trek on arrival day.

Super Luxury remains your Arusha contact. The lodge is named once UWA has placed you in a sector. The flights sit on the quote as their own lines, not hidden inside a vague package.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi

Time with the gorillas is one hour. That rule is not ours to stretch. Briefing at the gate, then a guided walk to the habituated family on your permit — thirty minutes or several steep hours. The forest goes quiet when you arrive, in a way no savanna game drive can copy.

The permit is its own line on the quote, not buried in a vague package price. We do not confirm this departure until UWA has issued the permit for your date.

Day 3: Bwindi to Kihihi, fly to Entebbe

A last look at the canopy, then back to Kihihi or Kisoro for the included flight to Entebbe. This is a travel day. Do not book an international departure before late afternoon — connections fail, and we will not pretend a morning European flight is honest after a highland hop.

Drop-off is at Entebbe airport or a town hotel, which ends the trip. Super Luxury remains on WhatsApp from Arusha if your onwards flight moves.

Season and routing

Three days is honest only because you fly. Bwindi permits are still date-specific and sector-specific. Dry months are easier walking; the forest is open all year. Book an evening international departure from Entebbe on day 3, not a morning one.

Choose your stay style

Four ways to travel the same parks. Pick one style for the whole safari, or mix nights — we quote what you actually want. Names below are properties we often confirm. The lodge or camp on your quote is the booking; nothing here is reserved until you approve it.

  1. Camping Safari tents, a cook, the night sounds of the park. The honest, close-to-the-ground way to safari.
  2. Mid-range En-suite lodges and tented camps we use most — a proper bed, a shower, and the game still at the door.
  3. Luxury Pools, full-service dining, the better rooms in the same parks.
  4. High-end Suite camps and private houses when the trip is built around silence and space.

A community campsite on the forest edge — basic, honest, and close to the briefing gate.

Mid-range

A Buhoma or Rushaga mid-range lodge, named once the permit sector is known.

Luxury

Mahogany Springs, Buhoma Lodge, or a similar forest-view lodge with a hot shower after the trek.

Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge, Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp — suite rooms for the night before your allocated family.

Before you book

Practical notes

  • Day 1 is a domestic flight and a short transfer, not a trek. We still do not pretend you can track gorillas on arrival day.
  • The airstrip is Kihihi or Kisoro, matched to the gorilla sector on your permit. The flights sit on the quote as their own lines.
  • Gorilla tracking is for guests aged 15 and over. The walk can be 30 minutes or several hours. Time with the family is one hour.
  • The trip is not confirmed until the Uganda Wildlife Authority has issued the permit for your date.
  • Do not book an international departure from Entebbe before late afternoon on day 3.
